Metronidazole for Rosacea
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved generic metronidazole 1% (MetroGel® Topical Gel) for the treatment of inflammatory lesions of rosacea, a skin disorder. This new product was formulated, patented, and developed by Dow Pharmaceutical Sciences and will be marketed in the U.S. through an alliance with Galderma Laboratories.
